【NEWS】 REMED Co.,Ltd. showing off a High-Tech Medical Device ´rTMS´ by an Electromagnetic Field to treat Depression

REMED Co., Ltd participated in '34th Korea International Medical & Hospital Equipment Show (KIMES 2018)' at COEX from March 15 to 18 and showcased a transcranial magnetic stimulator and electromagnetic stimulator.

REMED Co., Ltd is a research and production company of professional electronic medical devices. They developed a Transcranial Magnetic Stimulator(TMS) which is a high-tech medical device electromagnetic field. Also, they cover everything from R&D in medical devices related to rehabilitation therapy services, such as electromagnetic field therapy for musculoskeletal pain, extracorporeal shock wave therapy, and electrosurgical unit, to deliver and do clinics.

'ALTMS' (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulator) is a device that applies the electromagnetic field to the head for treatment of depression in adult patients. It is way more effective if the drugs are used at the same time. Even if only TMS is used to treat without medication, it has excellent therapeutic effects. It is effective if the drugs are ineffective or have side effects and also applicable to students and pregnant women who have trouble taking drugs.


On the other hand, KIMES is Korea's largest medical equipment and hospital facility exhibition which has grown steadily with the development of the Korean medical industry since its opening in 1980. The nation`s medical industry is now transformed into a technology-intensive high-tech industry, with medical information systems, ultrasound detectors and imaging medical devices, robotic medicine, AI and rehabilitation drugs. As KIMES contributes to the advancement of the Korean medical industry, it has become a world-class medical exhibition. At this exhibition, the participants will showcase new technologies and products from the medical industry, including high-tech hospital facilities, IT-enabled medical information systems, and the automotive industry for rapid patient transportation.
